Dentist today...

I don't think I mentioned that I finally gave up on the plate on Friday, and have been walking around with a gap since... But today I visited the dentist for final prechecks, Q&A session, signing consent forms etc. and I have a clearer picture of timescales:

• Thursday 13th April - implant fitted and bone graft surgery to be performed, refit temp bridge (again!!)


• Two weeks later - remove stitches (implant is capped off and burried below the gum at this stage)


• End August - Assuming all has healed correctly, expose implant by slitting gume and replace endcap with one that protrudes


• Mid September - Take impressions for final crown


• End September - First fit of crown, this is not the final porcelain version, but one that can be worked and modified to give the best possible look and feel


• End October - Final fit of finished porcelain crown
